Salary Survey 2024 Results
Each year, I conduct an anonymous salary survey for audiologists, hearing instrument specialists (HIS), and audiology assistants across the United States and Canada. The goal is simple: to provide greater transparency around compensation and help clinicians make more informed career decisions.
Whether you're entering the workforce, considering a new opportunity, or preparing for salary negotiations, having access to real-world compensation data can be incredibly valuable. This survey provides a snapshot of what professionals are earning across different geographic regions, practice settings, and roles.
The results include information on:
Salaries and compensation
Geographic location
Practice setting
Experience level
Benefits and paid time off
Bonuses and other compensation details
As with any survey, these results represent a sample of respondents rather than the entire profession. Compensation can vary significantly based on location, employer, years of experience, job responsibilities, and many other factors. The data should be viewed as a reference point rather than a definitive benchmark.
I've included the full anonymized spreadsheet below (with gender and city information removed to protect respondent privacy) so you can explore the data for yourself.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to participate. Every response helps build a more transparent profession and gives clinicians better information when evaluating job opportunities and advocating for fair compensation.
Advocating pay equity, career empowerment, and industry transparency—one salary at a time.
